Get Trained to Answer 2-1-1 Calls during a Disaster

The Resource and Disaster Management Department at HandsOn Central Ohio is looking for volunteers to be available to staff our 2-1-1 line and answer calls during a disaster or public health emergency. Volunteers will receive in depth training including protocols to answer 2-1-1 calls and make appropriate referrals, a detailed overview of emergency management and Franklin County’s emergency plan, and bimonthly trainings to supplement emergency management knowledge. Volunteers will only be deployed during a disaster or emergency. Candidates must be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license/ State photo ID.
