9/11 Flag Memorial

This year, HandsOn Central Ohio will continue its partnership with the Ohio Department of Public Safety and other partners in preparedness to help spread the word during National Preparedness Month (September).

To answer the call of 9/11 being a National Day of Service and Remembrance, the Disaster Preparedness Department at HandsOn Central Ohio will be organizing the 9/11 Flag memorial event at the Ohio Statehouse. We have include pictures from last years memorial.

We are seeking volunteers for four separate Flag Memorial projects. On Thursday September 9th, we need 50 - 60 volunteers to help set up the flag memorial. On Friday and September September 10th & 11th, we need 4-5 volunteers to straighten the flags. Finally, on Sunday September 12th, we need 20 volunteers to help take down the Flag Memorial.
