BOARDLINK connects volunteers interested in serving on the governing or advisory board of a nonprofit to a collection of more than 900 organizations in Franklin County. BOARDLINK also works with nonprofit agencies on a case-by-case basis to help them manage and develop productive boards.
How does it work? Professionals complete and submit an online registration. This information becomes part of the BOARDLINK database. Nonprofit organizations are provided basic profile information of all registrants once per quarter. If an organization is interested in an individual to fill a specific board seat, it requests and receives the individual's complete resume as it was submitted by the registrant to BOARDLINK. The organization contacts the individual directly to discuss the board opportunity.
Organizations are encouraged to contact prospective board members at their earliest convenience since these individuals may be in demand by other organizations.
Give Help. If you are a professional interested in becoming a BOARDLINK member, register online now. If you currently serve on the board of a nonprofit organization and are interested in enhancing your skills, you may find our training series useful.
