Public events in support of Nat'l Preparedness Month


FIRSTLINK plans to attend, participate and host a number of preparedness activities in support of National Preparedness Month. Below is a listing of events we are involved in open to the public :

1.Franklin County Citizen Corps Regional Meeting @ Columbus Public Health on 9/9/09 from 4p-7p. Topics to include H1N1 virus updates, Citizen Corps programming and the Columbus, Ohio evacuation plan.
2. 9/11 Memorial Flag set up @ the Ohio Statehouse (west lawn) from 4p-7p on 9/10/09.
3. 9/11 Memorial Flag take down @ the Ohio Statehouse (west lawn) from 9a-10:30a on 9/12/09.
4. Safety Expo, hosted by Madison County EMA at the Madison County EMA from 10a-2p on 9/12/09
5. Kids and Cops Day hosted by the Westerville Police Department. From 10:30a-3p on 9/13/09.
6.Franklin County Citizen Corps meeting @ Gahanna City Hall 11a-1p on 9/15/09.
7. VAST Class @ Franklin County EMA hosted by Franklin County EM & HS. For volunteers interested in working in the EOC during a disaster. From 7p-8p on 9/16/09.
8. Be Prepared Ohio Conference @ Sheraton Cincinnati North Hotel. Hosted by the Emergency Preparedness Collaborative from 9a-3:15p on 9/22/09.
9.Driving Park Library Agency Fair from 10a-12p on 9/24/09.
10.Open House @ the OEMA. From 10a-4:30p on 9/29/09.
