Another blog round-up

Here are three interesting blog posts that I saw this week:

From: The Blog @ Homeland Security

A Blog post from one of the two official DHS blogs. This one discusses the new guidance for businesses on preparing for the upcoming fall/winter flu season, including H1N1.

From: In Case of Emergency, Read Blog

A blog post from our new friend John Solomon at In Case of Emergency, Read Blog. This post discusses a speech given by Nancy Dragani, the President of the National Emergency Management Association and our state EMA Director here in Ohio. In her speech, Director Dragani is very candid in her discussion on citizen preparedness and the need to change the culture in this Country about disaster preparedness.

From: Crisisblogger

This post discusses the importance of the emergency preparedness professionals and public
information officers to embrace social media into their daily routines. Because of the newness of Social media, many are hesitant to use it during an emergency exercise. We agree with Crisisblogger that incorporating social media into emergency drills and exercises should become a priority.
