Disaster Preparedness Coordinator

HandsOn Central Ohio seeks a full time Disaster Preparedness Coordinator to train, retain and communicate with potential disaster response volunteers primarily in Franklin County and provide Disaster Preparedness assistance to the 2-1-1 Call Center and Resource Management department. Bachelors Degree in homeland security/emergency management, public administration, social work or comparable discipline. Requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work well with others. Must be an independent worker. Travel, evening and weekend availability a must. Candidate should be well versed in Microsoft Office 2007, Social Media and other web based applications. Experience in volunteer management and/or disaster preparedness preferred.
