Winter storms bring ice, snow, cold temperatures and often dangerous driving conditions.

When a Winter Storm WATCH is issued:
1. Listen to your NOAA radio, local TV/Radio Stations.
2. Be alert to changing conditions.
3. Avoid unnecessary travel.
When a Winter Storm WARNING is issued:
1. Stay Inside.
2.Dress in warm clothes, if you must go outside. Wear layers.
3. Understand the hazards of wind chill.
4. Walk carefully on ice and snow.
5. Be aware that shoveling snow is strenuous work, take frequent breaks.
6. Avoid traveling by car.Have a winter emergency kit in your car and let someone know your destination and expected time of arrival.
