The H1N1 vaccine has arrived, and Columbus Public Health is planning to hold the first Community H1N1 Vaccination Clinics here in Franklin County. We need your help to staff these clinics. You, as community members, play a vital role in helping us to protect our community during the H1N1 pandemic.
The clinic information is listed below. If you are able to assist at an upcoming clinic, please contact Lee Foster at lfoster@firstlink.org or 614-221-6766 ext 168.
Please plan to arrive at the clinic 2 hours before the clinic starts for training. You will be asked to stay the duration of the clinic and until the last person is served. You will be able to receive the H1N1 vaccine when you volunteer at the clinic.
At this initial community clinic we will only be vaccinating the following priority groups:
Healthcare workers with direct patient care
Pregnant Women
Caregivers of children under 6 months old
Both injectable and the nasal vaccines will be offered. The nasal vaccine is only for healthy adults, ages 2 to 49.
You must have completed the volunteer orientation training in order to volunteer. If you have not yet had your volunteer orientation we will have several in the next few weeks. These dates are:
Monday October 26, 2009 from 6-8pm at FIRSTLINK 195 N Grant Ave Columbus OH 43215 (in the training room)
Wednesday October 28, 2009 from 6-8pm at FIRSTLINK 195 N Grant Ave Columbus OH 43215 (in the training room)
